The hotel is roughly 10 kilometers outside of Ponta Negra. This is the smaller part of Manaus, near the beach. The hotel is fully air conditioned and includes all the amenities you could ever want. This is especially helpful because there are no taxi cabs in this area. We were promised slightly more than the rooms delivered, but I would imagine that this can be said of all savvy hotels outside Sao Paulo. The rooms are somewhat basic but feel absolutely amazing after hot day of exploring the jungle.
The breakfast is a delicious kick-start to the day. I honestly believe it to be the best such breakfast of any hotel in Brazil. The pool is also very refreshing and in fact, you will usually have it to yourself because all the people you saw at breakfast leave for their Amazon exploration trips. Be advised that it's possible to get discounts on your rate if you book online! Overall great place to stay!

We only got to stay for one night before we transferred to a cruise of the Amazon, but what a night it was! The whole experience was really nice. Very colonial in style. The staff was courteous, prompt, and friendly, and the breakfast buffet was a real treat. The property itself was incredible. We began to second guess the decision to bring our kids along, but that vanished when we discovered that there was a small zoo on hotel grounds! The kids loved getting to see the animals up close and this made the night free of complaining and boredom!
