Two popular gay bars are located in Centro Manaus. Enigma's Bar, located at Rua Silva Ramos 1054, Centro (tel. 092/3234-7985), is open Thursday through Sunday and features live music and DJs all night long. Turbo Seven, found at Rua Vivaldo Lima 33, Centro (tel. 092/3232-6793), is super popular in the gay culture for it’s drag shows and go-go boys. Turbo Seven is only open on Saturday and Sunday from 11pm onwards.

Travelers are advised to explore and enjoy themselves, but for safety’s sake, try and avoid the area around the Rua Visconde de Mauá.
